Assist Women’s Group

The Assist Women’s Group meets every Wednesday. It is an informal
session open to all refugee and asylum seeker women to meet and to
learn and share arts and craft skills. Alongside arts activities,
Cherry (the Assist midwife) runs health awareness and sessions and
offers advice.

The Group meets up at Sure Start in St Mathews on Wednesdays between 10 am
and 1 pm. A project worker comes to Assist at 10.30am to pick up
anybody who does not know their way to the venue. The walk takes
about 10 minutes. A crèche is available whilst women take part in the
project.
