Give and Take Day

August 4, 2010 by Webmaster

Give and Take Days are community waste exchange events – a chance for you to get rid of items you don’t need and to pick up something you do. And it’s all free! By reusing things instead of throwing them away, we reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill, reduce fly tipping and help to save the earth’s valuable resources. Give and Take Days also offer a chance for you to pick up some useful household items for free so saving money too.

What can be given?
Unwanted items that are good quality and in working order, such as books, toys, bikes, garden tools, kitchenware, bric-a-brac, plants. For health & safety reasons electrical items cannot be given.
What can be taken?
Anything you need and could use. You don’t need to give an item to be able to take something.
Looking for some new kitchenware? Got a bike you no longer need? Want to swap your old novels for a new necklace? Come along to our Give and Take Day where you can give and take unwanted items all for free!
